Set in a small Sicilian village, Cavalleria Rusticana tells a gripping tale of passion, betrayal, and revenge. Turiddu, a young soldier, returns home to find his beloved Lola married to another man, Alfio. In an attempt to move on, Turiddu begins a relationship with Santuzza, but when she discovers his lingering feelings for Lola, jealousy and heartbreak set the stage for a tragic duel that seals his fate. With its dramatic storyline and emotionally charged music, the opera features unforgettable moments such as the famous Intermezzo and the stirring “Voi lo sapete, o mamma”.
